Budapest 21-24 May 2009-05-26
39 children and 4 teachers headed off, by coach, to Budapest to take part in two days of Football, Floor-ball and Netball. Thanks to the fantastic drivers from ‘Raf Trans’ the 11/12 hour journeys were not too arduous.
The weather was incredibly hot, but the Warsaw players played their hearts out and did their very best against teams from our sister schools in Budapest, Bratislava and Prague.
Results were mixed, but everyone improved and had a huge amount of fun. We made lots of new friends as well.
KS3 Boys won Floor-ball and Football(David Torhaug player of the tournament)
KS3 Girls won the Football (Isia Starek player of the tournament)
KS2 Boys were 2nd in their Floor-ball matches.
Overall Warsaw took 2nd place behind Prague.
We must thank our hosts from Budapest for their hospitality and organisation - next year we return to Bratislava. Well done to all who went, it was a memorable few days.
