General

Key stage 4 refers to the curriculum covered by students in Years 10 - 11. It is a two year programme that prepares students for I/GCSE (International/General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations which are completed at the end of Year 11.

Students in Key Stage 4 follow examination syllabi in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Co-ordinated Sciences and French or German.
Students also choose five additional subjects from a number of options which include French, German, Art, Religious Studies, Information Technology, History, Geography, Bussiness Studies and Music.
Many students also complete GCSE examinations in Polish or their mother tongue.

GCSE examinations are excellent preparation for the final two years of schooling and are required by many British universities as part of their application process.

GCSE examinations pave the way for the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diplomma Programme).

Please refer to the Key Stage 4 I/GCSE Booklet for further information.
