Who are we?
We are a group of 30 students, working together to improve The British School from a students' point of view. Two members from each class are allocated to be Student Council representatives at the beginning of each year. We then meet as a group every month, discussing various important issues. In the school year 2009-2010, Nadia O'Shaughnessy (Year 10) was appointed our Chairperson, with Maciej Mora (Year 12) supporting her as Vice-Chairperson. Karolina Adamkiewicz (Year 12) is our Secretary and Yumna Baloch (Year 12) is our Treasurer.

- Student Council Chairperson Elections in October 2009.
The introduction of free wi-fi internet in the Dining Room.
The agreement to build an astroturf pitch; to be completed by September 2010.
We launched a Logo Competition - won by Anna Ziębińska in Year 8.
Student Council Bake Sale - we raised 650zł over a period of 30 minutes, which will be used to fund badges for all members.
The commencement of a Student Council section of the School Newsletter.
We have provisional plans to hold a Senior School Disco on the 16th of April.
We organised Christmas presents for our form teachers.
We managed to lower the prices in the school canteen.
We are in the process of introducing a new Student Council noticeboard.
As the year progresses, we are constantly addressing new issues and are open to every students' suggestions. We aim to create a happy, comfortable environment for each of us; making sure that we all look back on our school years as a particularly memorable experience. And our concerns are never disregarded - our view really matters.
